Gazprom Tower

Lakhta Center is a large scale project of the construction of a modern business center in Primorsky district of Saint Petersburg exercising a wide range of public functions with a developed public and transport infrastructure.
The altitude of the top of the spire of the building tower -465, 7 m (in the Baltic system of coordinates).
Over half of the areas will be occupied by public functions: a scientific and educational complex, a children’s center for amusing science, a planetarium, exhibition halls, a health center.
UNESCO blocked original efforts by threatening to strip the city’s center of its World Heritage status. This latest proposal has relocated the project to a more suitable site and increased the height by almost 100 meters (328 feet).
Europe’s tallest tower proposal may not be designed by RMJM Architects according to reports.
A free public observation deck will be located on the uppermost floor of Lakhta Center, at a 378m elevation. People will be able to look down onto the city from the height of a bird's flight being in a comfortable room sipping coffee. High speed lifts will deliver visitors there.
