Mercury City Tower - Moscow, Russia
Europe's tallest building since March of 2012 till summer 2014

Information

Located in the Moscow International Business Center, construction started in 2009. The Mercury City Tower is a multipurpose building with housing, offices and shops. The tower is located on plot 14 of the MIBC. The structure's height is 339 meters above ground, with five underground floors.
Architect Frank Williams claims this is the first environmentally friendly building in Moscow. It is designed to use less water and electricity by collecting melting water and providing 75% workspace with daylight. 10% of the construction material came from a 300 kilometer radius of the construction site.
World's tallest building built of reinforced concrete since 2012 till summer 2014.
The tower reached its full height of 339 meters (1,112 feet), 29 meters more than the Shard, Kesaev’s Mercury Development said today, citing Hamburg-based researcher Emporis. The 75-story skyscraper, designed by U.S. architect Frank Williams, who died in 2010, and Russia’s Mikhail Posokhin.
