The Paris, France, based team of Manal Rachdi OXO Architects have won the "Réinventer Paris" (Reinventing Paris) competition for the site of Pershing in Paris with their project "Mille Arbres" (Thousand Trees). The firm are also associated with the team of Sou Fujimoto Architects (based in Tokyo).

The results were announced on 3 February 2016 at Pavillon d'Arsenal by the Mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo following the deliberation of the jury on the 26 of January 2016.
Réinventer Paris competition
The competition was launched on the 3 November 2014 and received no less than 815 applications for 23 sites, selecting 17 teams for the site of Pershing. Consequently four prestigious teams continued through to the final phase. Among them there were OMA associated with Gecina, Ferrier / Chartier Dalix associated with BNP Paribas, and the team of 3xn / Mars associated with Unibail / Bouygues Immobilier. (via WAN)
